First Friday Arts – February 2019

One of our community efforts is to highlight the works of local artists in our First Friday Arts series at our Albuquerque office. Join us or stop by the office gallery. You will also be supporting the chapter with your purchases.

The February 2019 featured artist is Barbara Endicott. Barbara says of herself

As a longtime resident of Albuquerque, I have always appreciated the wild areas within its boundaries. It also means I don’t have to travel far to find beautiful places to paint; the Rio Grande, the Bosque with the expressive cottonwoods, the life giving acequias that crisscross the north and south valleys, the expanses of fields in the many public open spaces, the Sandia and Manzano mountain ranges, the expansive skies and outrageous clouds, and the earthy quality of New Mexico architecture. As an added bonus, the sunny climate and brilliant light make it possible and enticing to paint year round.

Her work will hang through March at the Albuquerque office (2215 Lead Ave SE).

Please join us at the Sierra Club office for her opening reception on February 8, 6-8 pm. Refreshments will be provided, and 30% of sales benefit the Sierra Club.

Contact Heather Kline, 505-577-2798 with any questions or if you would like to display your work.
