NM environmental champs win big!

WOW.

With Wednesday afternoon’s stunning victory for Xochitl Torres Small, the results are in, and your votes and volunteering helped environmental champions win nearly every race the Sierra Club endorsed in New Mexico. 

This is truly exciting. This means we can make so much more progress — and start to fix all the damage inflicted in the past eight years.

With Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham and a massive influx of true environmental champions in the state House, plus Stephanie Garcia Richard overcoming $2 million of oil money spent to defeat her and Steve Fischmann bringing his energy expertise to the Public Regulation Commission, we can:

— Reach 100% renewable energy in New Mexico
— Start holding oil and gas polluters accountable
— End trapping and protect our wildlife

But we know what happens when we rest on our laurels.  That’s why I’m asking you to join our grassroots lobby team. We’ll help you set up meetings with your elected officials, train you to make a difference at the Roundhouse and help you win power for the people.
