First Saturday Arts – February 2020

One of our community efforts is to highlight the works of local artists in our First Week Arts series at our Albuquerque office. Join us or stop by the office gallery. You will also be supporting the chapter with your purchases.

Nature: Paintings by Sharon Walker

Please join us for another fun and social First Saturday Art opening.

Sharon Walker is a self-taught artist who works with acrylics. She was born in Raton, raised in Santa Fe, and resides in Albuquerque since 1978. Sharon’s love of nature was developed by spending many years with family camping, fishing, and hiking, most of the time in northern New Mexico and southern Colorado. Making her canvas come alive with her realistic style, you can almost hear the wind dancing through the trees as the sunlight and shadows gently appear in her landscapes.

Refreshments provided, and 30% of sales benefit the Sierra Club. The show will hang through March.

When: Saturday, February 1, 2pm – 4pm
Where: Sierra Club Office 2215 Lead Ave SE (Yale and Lead)
