Even though some walls are already being built, we need thousands to speak up against them. Let the record show that we strongly object to the lawless, reckless, & destructive border walls!
Why This Matters
Since 2017, $18 billion in border wall funding has been allocated by Congress or stolen by President Trump from the U.S. Military. While billions of this money could be better used to help suffering people during the pandemic, construction of the wall continues. Trump’s wall is already under construction in all four southern U.S. border states, causing immense harm to local communities, wildlife, and irreplaceable landscapes.
U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP) claims they are looking for comments on their plans to build dozens of miles of wall in California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas. But CBP has already begun construction at many of these sites, even though the comment deadline ends May 15th!
Join thousands of Sierra Club members and supporters nationwide in speaking up against this insulting, sorry excuse for public consultation, and say “No!” to border walls and militarization.
