The match 100% of what you give in support of the Chapter’s charitable 501(c3) work. Donor Advised Funds (DAF) are a popular way to streamline charitable giving, they give flexibility to recommend how much and how often money is granted to the Sierra Club Foundation and other charities. You transfer cash or other assets to a community foundation, brokerage house or other sponsoring organization. You can recommend how much and how often money is granted. The benefit of using a DAF is that you can have a tax deductible gift without immediately having to choose the charities you want to support. If you so choose, you can support a number of charitable organizations without having to retain records for a number of separate contributions.
